Part of sci-fi is accepting the primus that some great technology comes about and due to unforeseen consequence creates an adventure. Elon Musk shared a video of his vision of automation and AI creating a world of fantastic abundance. Goods and transportation will be free. Imagine if everyone in the world could have anything they want. Sounds pretty good on the surface right? It has been my experience that people generally do not know what they want, and real problems occur when they think they do but don't think it out or just grab for everything, but end up with nothing.
