Good morning.
Managed to stay fairly quiet yesterday. It occurred to me that one of the things that makes something more valuable is scarcity. There are things in this word that have no other value than the fact that they are scarce or unique.

This sounds a bit manipulative, and egocentric. That is fine with me. I am not trying to be a diamond, or gold, but at least more valuable than air (air is a great example you can't live without it but here on earth it is free to all because there is more than enough to go around). There are particles that scientist are willing to spend billions in order to see them and they only exist for a blink of an eye.

I will bring in another example.
My father worked for a guy that felt like if you could sell something and make a penny off it but sell a million of them you could get rich. Economy of scale... The problem with that is the amount of work/resources to continuously produce is at best hard to manage. (dad didn't work there long I think the company went bust)

On the other hand I had an Uncle who owned a barber shop. It was his experience that if he called himself a hair stylist, and only served customers by appointment he did much better. The best hair cut I ever had was his super double whammy. To this day no other person has been able to deal with a peculiar cow lick of mine.

Adding this post to my forging the regular day blog. Possible revisit of this topic will bring clarity and value to it.
